Stubborn spots, cloudy glasses, mystery machine noises—we’ve heard it all. That’s why we’ve put together this FAQ guide to keep your dishes (and your dishwasher) looking their best!

PRE-WASHING

Do I need to rinse my plates?

No! Dishwashers are designed to handle food particles and pre-rinsing can interfere with the cleaning process.

PRE-WASHING

Can I put everything in the dishwasher?

Not recommended for wooden utensils, cast iron, nonstick pans (unless labeled dishwasher-safe), delicate glassware, or sharp knives

CLEANING

How often should I clean my dishwasher?

Filters: monthly (or more often if your dishwasher is heavily used)

Spray arms & seals: every few months

Full cleaning cycle with dishwasher cleaner: monthly

DISHWASHER PROBLEMS

Why is my dishwasher leaving water marks on my glassware?

This usually happens because of hard water minerals that dry on your dishes. Sounds like you need to refill your rinse aid! Rinse aid helps water sheet off surfaces, preventing those spots and streaks!

DISHWASHER PROBLEMS

My glasses look cloudy after a wash – what’s going on?

Cloudiness usually comes from hard water minerals leaving deposits behind. Sounds like you need to top up your dishwasher salt! Salt helps soften the water, so your tablet can work better and your dishware comes out Crystale clean!

CLEANING

How often should I use a Dishwasher Cleaner?

We recommend once a month to protect your machine and keep it in great working condition.

MAINTENANCE

Why do I need Salt and Rinse Aid if my tablet is an all-in-one?

All-in-one tablets are handy, but they can only do so much. If you live in a hard water area, your dishwasher still needs salt to soften the water and protect against limescale. And while tablets include a small amount of drying agent, it’s not as effective as keeping your rinse aid topped up, which keeps your dishes sparkling and streak-free.

MAINTENANCE

What is Rinse Aid and why do I need it?

Rinse Aid reduces water surface tension, helping dishes dry faster and preventing ater spots or streaks-especially important in hard water areas.
